Potato Wedges

Bell Brand History

Bell Brand was founded in the 1920’s by Max I. Ginsberg, a Ukranian immigrant, who came to the U.S. at the age of 7. He and his brothers began making hand-made pretzels they sold on the streets, and later moved to Los Angeles to start a potato chip company. Ginsberg named his brand after the many bells he saw on California Spanish missions, stating that he believed bells made people happy. The Bell Brand company later launched a line of popular dip mixes and remained in business until fierce competition forced them to close in 1995.

Our company founder, Mike, grew up eating Bell Brand products in his hometown of Los Angeles, and decades later was disappointed to see another smaller company like his own swallowed up by large conglomerates. In the 2000’s, he saw that the Bell Brand trademark name was available and decided to resurrect its line of dip mixes to carry on its founder’s legacy.

Today, you can enjoy still these classic flavors with clean, simple ingredients and no allergens. Mix with sour cream or equivalent dairy-free base and pair with chips and veggies. It's an easy, quick, and always popular snack for any occasion!
